Motze’ei Shabbat

I hope to publish a short culture fact every Motze’ei Shabbat (Saturday evening) to welcome in the beginning of a new week for my Jewish friends, and celebrate the ending of a week for my non-Jewish readers.

Fact for this week…

The Jewish day actually begins at sundown instead of sunrise and so, Motze’ei Shabbat begins at sundown on Saturday and refers to the time right after the ending of Shabbat when Jewish people are allowed to return to normal weekday activities.
