Motze’ie Shabbat: The Hunt for Chametz

On the night before Pesach most families follow an interesting tradition called Bedikan Chametz–the search for leaven. The father goes around the house with a candle, feather, and wooden spoon to find any pieces of leaven that might have been missed in the earlier cleaning. They sweep the leaven up with the feather and transport it into a bag to be burned the next morning. Here is a fun video showing a family observing this tradition.
